SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2020-21
SSC CGL Tier I is mandatory for all the posts and its marks are added for further process as well. If you do not clear cut-off of Tier I Exam then you will not be eligible for Tier II and III. Below table shows the section-wise break up of questions and marks asked in SSC CGL Tier I exam.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2020-21
In CGL Tier II two papers will be conducted on the same day. Paper I is Quantitative Aptitude and Paper II is English. In addition, for the posts of JSO and AAO, Paper 3 and Paper 4 are conducted respectively.

General awareness is not something you can expect to master in a day but from an exam point of view, if you spend time consistently, you can perform well in relatively less time as compared to Quantitative Aptitude. The questions in this section are designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers. The scope of quantitative ability is clearly defined and is limited to class 10th level mathematics. If you have good command over this section, you can score good marks. All you need to do is attempt the questions with good accuracy because there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Exam Details
(i) Paper-I & II are compulsory for all the categories of posts.
(ii) Paper-III is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Junior Statistical Officer.
(iii) Paper IV is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.
(iv) Candidates opting for the post of Compiler and/or Statistical Investigator Gr. II and Assistant Audit Officer must ensure that they possess the requisite qualification as mentioned above. Commission reserves the right to take appropriate action against applicants who do not possess the requisite eligibility while opting for the post of Compiler and/or Statistical Investigator Gr. II and Assistant Audit Officer.
SSC CGL Tier 3 Syllabus 2020-21
The exam syllabus of SSC CGL Tier III is much different from previous above. It will be a written examination (offline mode) in which Precis Writing/Essay/Formal Letter/Informal Letter can be asked. The time duration for the Tier III exam is 60 minutes.
