11 से गुणा की ट्रिक्स
जिस संख्या को 11 से गुणा करना है। उसके दोनों अंकों को दोनों तरफ लिख दें और बीच में दोनों संख्याओं का जोड़ लिख दें, वही गुणनफल होगा। इसको नीचे बताए गए तरीके से समझें। जैसे हमने 45 को 11 से गुणा करना है।

 

Q. 45×11=?

Ans. 4 (4+5) 5 = 495
इस तरह 45×11=495

 

Q. 65×11=?
Ans. 6 (6+5) 5 (यहां 6 और 5 को बीच में जोड़ दिया।

6(11)5 (इनको जोड़ने पर 11 आया तो पहला अंक यानी 1 6 के साथ जुड़कर 7 हो जाएगा) =715
इस तरह 65×11=715

 

 

दो अंकों की संख्या का वर्ग निकालना
जिस संख्या का वर्ग निकालना है, उसके पहले अंक को अपने से एक ज्यादा अंक से गुणा कर दें और अंत का दो अंक 25 होगा। जैसे हमें 35 का वर्ग निकालना है।

 

Q. 35×35=?
Ans. यहां दहाई का अंक 3 है जिसे एक बढ़ाकर यानी 4 से गुणा करना है जो 12 हो जाएगा। इस तरह इसका वर्ग
1225 हो जाएगा।

इसी तरह 65×65=4225

 

9 से गुणा करने की ट्रिक
किसी बड़ी संख्या को 9 से गुणा करना हो तो उस संख्या के अंत में 0 लगा दें और अब जो संख्या बने उससे उसको संख्या को घटा दें जिसको आप 9 से गुणा करना चाहते हैं। जैसे हमें 87 को 9 से गुणा करना है तो हम ऐसे करेंगे।
870-87=783

1.  A man spends ¹/₅of his salary on food, ¹/₁₀ of his salary on house rent and ³/₅ of his salary on clothes. He still has $18000 left with him. Find his salary.Solution:The expenditure incurred on each item is expressed as part of the total amount (salary), so it is an independent activity.

 

In general for independent activities

[1 – (^x₁/_y1 + ^x₂/_y2 + ^x₃/_y3)] × Total amount = Balance amount

[1 – (¹/₅ + ¹/₁₀ + ³/₅)] × Total salary = $18000

[1 – ⁹/₁₀] × Total salary = $18000

Therefore total salary = $18000 × 10 = $180000

 

2.  A number when divided by 899 gives a remainder 63. What remainder will be obtained by dividing the same number by 29.

Solution:

63 ÷ 29

Therefore required answer = 5.

 

3.  The sum of two numbers is 75 and their difference is 20. Find the difference of their squares.Solution:If the sum of two numbers is x and their difference is y, then the difference of their squares is xy.Here x= 75 and y = 2075 × 20 = 1500

 

4.  The difference between the squares of two consecutive numbers is 37. Find the numbers.Solution:If the difference between the squares of two consecutive numbers is x, then the numbers are (x-1)/2 and (x+1)/2(37-1)/2 and (37+1)/236/2 and 38/2Therefore the required answer = 18 and 19.

 

5.  Two consecutive numbers are 8 and 9. Find the difference of their squares.Solution:If the two consecutive numbers are x and y, then the difference of their squares is given by x + y.Here, x = 8 and y = 9.8 + 9Therefore the required answer = 17
